My Financial Expertise
In a previous phase of my life, I was a highly competent and sought-after Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in NYC’s Real Estate Private Equity industry.
As a CPA, I honed my take-charge skills on pioneering engagements in the consulting & auditing divisions of Ernst & Young. I then worked with a first-tier real estate fund division of a massive investment bank.
These Real Estate Funds are fast-growth firms lead by savvy and commanding talents whose mission is to invest in businesses and products that, when “turned-around,” will generate high-returns for top-tier investors.
Activity in this environment was fast-paced, complex, challenging and demanded results. I loved it!
In time, I became known as one of the “go-to” CFOs for start-up funds and firms going through a transition. From the capital-raising stage to the team building, from the systems implementation to the performance navigation, I oversaw growth, monitored combined assets in the billions and did whatever it took to ensure success.
As a young woman executive, I was an exception to the traditional all-male leadership. I relate deeply to how nuanced this male/female dynamic corporate environment can be. My career took me to foreign cultures, showed me varied business sizes, strategies, stages, and, ultimately, introduced incredibly accomplished people.
The commitment of time and focus required to handle such rapid growth took a toll on all of our personal lives. And we all learned hard lessons about life’s quick pace and assessing our true priorities.
After leaving my career on Wall Street, I passionately dedicated the next chapter of my life to understanding the keys to navigating my its peaks and valleys to achieve an even greater result – real happiness and personal success.
